“Tree Cathedral” © Corina L. Ravenscraft 2013
Deep within an overgrown, ancient wood
In solitude, lies the earthy peace I seek.
Voices of the sacred Mother’s brood
In whispers of wind and burbles of creek.
Nature always calls her dear children home,
Ever connected, though they may forget.
Fertile ground found in fern green and black loam,
Elder trees march in dark jade silhouette.
Mossy fingers float, to caress passers by,
Infusing each visitor with reverence and awe.
Natural cathedrals stretch spires to the sky,
In celebration of the Earth Mother’s law.
Nearer, in the wilds, to the Divine Feminine.
Eager is this child to commune once again.

About dragonkatet
Regarding the blog name, Dragon’s Dreams ~ The name comes from my love-affairs with both Dragons and Dreams (capital Ds). It’s another extension of who I am, a facet for expression; a place and way to reach other like-minded, creative individuals. I post poetry and images that fascinate or move me, because that’s my favorite way to view the world. I post about things important to me and the world in which we live, try to champion extra important political, societal and environmental issues, etc. Sometimes I wax philosophical, because it’s also a place where I always seem to learn about myself, too, by interacting with some of the brightest minds, souls and hearts out there. It’s all about ‘connection(s)’ and I don’t mean “net-working” with people for personal gain, but rather, the expansion of the 4 L’s: Light, Love, Laughter, Learning.
Goodness you are so good at this Corina…so good.
Aww, thank you, Jo!! I haven’t been writing much lately – usually once or twice a month or so. I keep meaning to do it more often, just haven’t found a lot of inspiration and blocks of time to devote to it where I won’t be interrupted. I’ve been slacking on my blog reading, too, and keep meaning to remedy that, as well. Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment. 🙂 It means a lot.
I really like this….
Thank you…has good energy flowing through the lines 🙂
Take Care…You Matter…

Thanks, maryrose! 🙂 I can honestly say I was inspired when I wrote it – trees are one of my very favorite subjects, as is Mother Earth.
